I am creating Problem Solver, a company that will use AI to lower the marginal cost of data science in order to help small businesses use their data.

Data scientists are expensive, too expensive for a small business to hire. This does not mean that small businesses cannot benefit from hiring a data scientist to solve unaddressed problems; it means that the cost of a data scientist has to fall before they can profitably be hired. AI will empower a data scientist to solve a new problem for one small business, build an agent to solve that problem for any business, and then sell that agent to any business that has that problem, drastically lowering the marginal cost of solving that problem. These agents will be able to understand the business context they operate in, adjust their solution according to the customer’s needs, and explain their methods to experts and laypeople alike. This will democratize data science, transforming it from something only found in relatively few large or highly technical organizations, into something that can serve any data generating entity, creating value by addressing new problems at smaller scales for a much wider market.

Problem Solver will attempt to ride this wave. I have a lot to figure out, and I am very excited.
